Rivals are the main antagonists of Yandere School.
They are the most important people to eliminate, as they all have a crush on Makio Sono. If the rival is not eliminated by the end of the day, they will confess their love to Makio, and Akari will be left heartbroken.
The rivals will be highlighted in a skull icon, this helps indicating the rivals at which location they are, so the players are able to find them easily.
Rivals are seen outlined in red if Tips are enabled.

Meisa Ito

Meisa Ito is the first rival in the game.
She essentially is a normal rival, although can be considered a tutorial. She has two purple spiky pigtails in yellow hairbands, and wears purple striped stockings and the school uniform. She comes off as bossy and unwilling to talk to the character. Upon witnessing murder, she will run and hide by the nearest safe place.

Angelina Ivanova is the second rival. She is a flirtatious and beautiful girl. She came from Europe and is a foreign exchange student who flirts with Makio and asks him out. She has long brown hair with a black headband and wears see-through black stockings.

Ryoichi Taniguchi is one of the rivals in Chapter 3 of the game. He has black hair and wears a baseball outfit. He doesn't really have a crush on Makio Sono, but he keeps him from Akari through baseball practice. He is rude to Akari and girls in general.
